Soooo uhhh. I don't think psu cables are supposed to look like this...

SO last night I noticed this

and I have only just got the chance to troubleshoot it, my psu is a evga 600b 80+ bronze, non modular. Pretty basic unit, but still good.

 

My fan cable (92mm/80mm idk) is also chewed off and doesn't spin (duh)

 

Do you know what could have caused it? what should I do, it works fine (as far as I can tell) except for the fact that I needed to unplug my HDD (non OS drive) for it to boot properly.

I don't think so, the nearest fan is the cpu fan and the 92 mm fan which are no where near enough to cut it
