Nvidia GPU vs Nvidia GPU

roland thsive
Go to solution Solved by 7850OC,

what is the difference between Nvidia GeForce GTX 780ti and GTX 980.

which one is better for high end game and which one will perform more smoothly.

is watch dogs worth running in 2k or 4k .    what is your opinion.

all come to the "core count" (more = better)  :rolleyes:

and the 780 ti have more cores than the 980 (so the 780 ti is better for me)  <_<

still, in benchmarks, the 980 beat the 780 ti i think  :huh:

780 ti = 2880 cc

980 = 2048 cc

but i don't know well the green side  :D

-snip-

980 is better.

Stronger and uses less power.

2k=1080p and I don't know if 1 980 can run Watch Dogs 4K

980 is slightly better in performance in most games and more efficient to boot, so I'd go for that, unless you have a need to get a less efficient, more expensive GPU.

both are about equal and while the 780ti has more memory bandwidth the 980 is far more efficient.
of course in terms of fps/$ you can get 780ti's for far less than a 980, a 980 is ALLOT more expensive and a gm200 980ti part its inevitable later on.

Watch dogs isnt worth running at all, and the 980 is better in all aspects except price.

you can play watchdogs with 4 980's and it'd still be shit (it actually gets worse the more cards you add)

thanks ubisoft.

Using Ubisoft games as an any sort of indicator is usually a terrible idea.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

2k=1440p.......

How is 2K 1440p? That doesn't make sense.

4K = 3840 x 2160. 2 is half of 4 and 3840 x 2160 divided by 2 is 1920 x 1080.

2K means ~2000 horizontal pixels, just like 4K means ~4000 pixels.

Just FYI: 2560 x 1440 (1440p) times 2 is 5K.

But..But... 4K is four times the pixels of 1080p right?

PHUCK YOU CONFUSING MY BRAINZ

NVM I googled it and it refers to HDTV not 1080p :'(

4K is 4 times the amount of pixels (because 4 times 1080p fits in a 4K screen.

But both the width and height is 2 times bigger.
