The best budget CPU cooler?

Hey guys, lately I went on the search for the best CPU cooler for the price. I had a low budget ($50 CAD) and picked up this baby, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, so far I've done an unboxing and you get A LOT of things in the box.....much more than I expected. I'm going to be installing this today or tomorrow so I'll be editing the post with a couple new videos, but take a look at the unboxing for now if you find your self in the same position I was in, thanks!

I have its predecessor, the 212+. It's an excellent cooler for the price. It can keep my 4690k @ 4.5ghz (around 1.2v when I was looking for the max comfortable clock speed) at below 80C without maxing out the fan. At stock clocks, on a hot day, it'll only peak at about +20 over ambient. Truly an effective cooler.

Meh, be quiet! shadow rock would be better than this IMO...

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Well on NCIX canada it's $20 more expensive ($39 - $59).

Gotta say it looks prettier, but the 212 series is pretty stinking legendary :P

Little too legendary imo

Some places won't suggest anything else

The 212 series are no longer king, people need to realize this. There is almost always a better option out there for the same price or cheaper. EX:

Total: $27.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
