Halo is the only one I've actually played. So there we go.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

There are a few on that list that I really liked. It's a tough call but I played gta vice city a lot with my brothers so it's the game on the list that elicits the most response for me. So I would have to pick that. I played cod and nfs a lot as well though. I was a playstation kid so no halo for me.

The first PC game I ever really played, back when I was like 6, was HL1. So I enjoyed that. After that I played Opposing Forces, & CS 1.6. Although this is all when we had no internet, so I always played offline with bots in CS 1.6. Then I played Doom 3, which I freaking love.

Added CS1 and HL2 (HL1 was '98 so didn't really count :P )

Tough call. I spent thousands of hours on Gran turismo 3, but that was mostly because I was competing in the leaderboards in the forums.

(no online playing yet in those days, we posted the times in forums and sent memory cards all over the world to get them "officially" verified)

However for racing games I'm leaning more towards Underground 1 and 2 really.

GTA3 was ok, Vice city made me sick most of the time (literally, motion sickness) but I did really enjoy the story and Tommy Vercetti. IMO we haven't had a good protagonist since.

Diablo 2:Lord of Destruction hands down. Man between that and the Eastern Sun 3.00 mod, I must have logged 1000+ hours. I still go back to it every once in a while. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna re-download them when I get home from work today. :-)

I liked CJ, but I agree that Tommy was also my favorite GTA protagonist.

The only game on that list that I've played for any significant amount of time is Morrowind.

CS makes me curious how online play works with 56kbps modem (which not even connected at 56kbps)

but I see no Battle Realms on the list

I do play Max Payne, but replay value only works with mods

later on WC 3 and Command & Conquer

I'm busy with emulator early 2k (Zsnes/VGS/ePSXe) and ngemu is my main source.

CS from the list. To note that we got first PC capable of running 3d games in 2001. So Age of Empires II, Rise of Nations, CS1.6 (03-), BF1942 demo, BF2 (05-09), CoD4 (07-10, yeah its more of late 00s), Flatout 1, lot of Runescape.

GTA Vice City (although I really liked flying the dodo in 3)

Splinter Cell

Call of Duty: Finest Hour

Destroy All Humans 1&2

Bully

Battlefield Vietnam (not BFBC2 Vietnam, noobs :P)

Battlefield 2 PS2 version (I found it very fun to warp into other soldiers on the battlefield, that's one thing I wish Battlefield would return too for its campaign instead of its generic and dull characters and storyline :/)

Dark Souls is the only modern title that didn't suck, honestly. I almost gave up gaming in general till I played Dark Souls.

GTA 3 was very popular too but Vice City was the real shit ! :P

NFS:U was good but Underground 2 killed it and shat it out. Best racing game out there :)
