I made my own lap desk with a 1 inch riser for laptop cooling.

Looks cool. I might just go out in my garage and build one for 1/20^th of the price. I might even add something to the bottom to keep my legs feeling comfortable, and considering my ultrabook doesn't produce enough heat, I don't need to cut anything out in the center.

I'd like to see a black version of this, I'm not that big of a fan of the whole light bamboo color with the dark mousepad. (or really light colors in general)

I could easily make one of those myself for a hell of a lot less (solid timber too-not hardwood though due to weight), the Hover X is nothing special (I could even add an array of silent, thin fans if I wanted to as well).
