Any doctors in the house? Possible signs of an infected wound?

Hi everyone,

I know this is a computer and tech forum, but it doesn't hurt to ask, right? A week and a half ago I went out for a run and scrapped my left knee pretty badly. I washed it with soap and water, disinfected it with alchohol, and applied neosporin and a bandaid several times since. Today though after taking a shower, the center of the wound seems to be fresh. I assume the hot water softened up the laye of skin and washed it away. It looks fresh, with some visible white dots. The outside is still scabbed though. Anyone's thoughts on this? Any help is much appreciated!

Here's a link for those curious as to how my knee looks

Go to an actual doctor. Even if there is a med student or doctor on here. Diagnostics would be very difficult over the internet.

I'm not an expert, but the outside area sort of worries me. It's not to the point of necrosis or anything that serious, but it doesn't look right.

Go see a doctor ASAP. You won't lose a leg so long as you're timely, but please see a doctor instead of posting it on a computer forum.

Just looks like a healing wound to me. Or maybe I don't go to the doctors when I should. Either way, looks like nothing.

Doesn't look too bad. Big scrapes like that take time to heal.

But if you are this worried i'd suggest going to a doc.

Well not so sure about that lol... I was driving on the road and got startled by a car which caused my right foot to slip of the pedal. I slid about 10ft down the road with one knee on the ground and the other foot still on the bike. Felt great /s :P
