doesnt really look like theres a difference so i guess they only did small unimportant changes and threw their certification on it. I only download whql drivers even when the beta drivers are the same. It gives me more safety because i hear some people having problems with betas.

yeah well, 320.18 was an exception. It was really bad and i think nvidia knows this. I wonder why it took them so long to release the new ones.

not really sure to be honest.

from what I've seen many people have theories that it tries to overclock the Fermi cards, something akin to gpu boost, and the heightened voltages kill the card.

other people blame a bad installer.

and some other people claim that the cards that died had bad vrm's (highly doubt this)

as far as I know Nvidia hasn't commented on what causes it,pretty sure they couldn't replicate the issue .

and it wasn't a definite thing, like if you install the driver it'll kill a fermi card.

it's more like a 50% chance that nothing will happen,and a 50% chance that something (e.g artifacting,unstable overclocks,etc)will happen.

and then 0 - 2% of that 50% will have their card die.

[above statistics are only meant to represent the frequency, not based on actual numbers]

though the fact that a driver killed any cards,is unacceptable.

I heard it was overvolting them, but it was random, some people may had gone from 1.0 to 1.08 while others went from 1.0 to 1.4 and had there card die.

This is like a week out already, whatever. I am already using it.

This driver fixed all of the problems I had with 320.18, so I think it's very good. Finally no problems in BF3.

Personally i had to downgrade (yet again) to 306.97 to actually play bf3.

Bf3 corruption issues were still there for me (actually it's the worst it's ever been for me,only takes 5 minutes to show) ,but it seems there are only a few on the geforce forums that experienced the same thing. +unstable fps.

Using a gtx 470 btw

Yer, 306.97 or 314.22 work great for bf3 ,i get abit of a stutter on 314.22 though hence why i go all the way back to 306.97 :P

i noticed some pink/black square weird textures in CSGO after switching to 320.18 from 314.22.

and that's not that a graphics intensive game.

so i had to go back to 314.22 after reading a lot of forums with people who experienced issues with 320.18

can't risk killing my card coz i heard they won't honor warranty exchange on this.
