($100 off & free sleeve) Surface Pro 3 (All models)

AMD Lover

$100 off and free sleeve with the purchase of a Surface Pro 3 (All Models). Plus if you go to a college, primary school or high school you get an extra 10% off. I would say Microsoft has a few too many of these laying around. BTW, a sleeve IS NOT a type cover. If it was a type cover I would be amazed at this deal but its just a carry sleeve but hey, $100 plus 10% for some... Pretty good deal.

Elaborate please.

Touch screen is a gimmick, I'd never waste 600 on an i3 machine, and it'll become obsolete within 2 years. And 64GB of storage? I can barely manage 500GB. It's a tablet for people who don't know shit. Even if I got it, I'd install Ubuntu on it the second I got it. I'd take an ROG over it any day.

You can get more storage (other models) and why would you use so much space on a tablet? Wouldn't you use cloud storage?

+ It's a tablet, what would you run on it that requires a overpowered CPU?

Ok I'll bite, what do you do on netbooks that would require more than an i3.

1. Nope, it's isn't a gimmick it actually quite useful if you use it, Linus uses touch on his dell thingy, windows 8.1 is great for touch devices.

2. i3 doesn't meant it's bad, you have to take in form factor, it's a tablet that replaces your laptop.

3. No it wont become obsolete why would it become obsolete ???

4. I kinda agree, you can use cloud storage and other stuff.

5. Nope it isn't it's a great tablet but you just don't have any uses for it.

6. That's you for me I would install windows 10 on it when I get it.

TBH it really depends on what you're using it for. I'm not a really big fan of TurboTax and Excel, so I wouldn't use it for the stuff that it's actually good at.

LOL next time keep your pointless opinion to yourself. The Surface Pro 3 is a great tablet.... if you can barely manage 500gb, then you must not have any tablet.

I have the i5 version (purchased for 800 w/ typecover) and it's honestly the best thing ever. I use it for 90% of my computer use, and I wouldn't classify myself as "people who don't know shit."

I personally know 5 people that have one, they all have master degrees in computer science and they all love it. So I don't think you can classify it as a potato...

Touch screen is a gimmick

Mate...it's a tablet....How do you expect to use it?

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

I've got one. My model has an i5 8 GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. As a student and a musician I would not call the touchscreen a gimmick (for my usage, mileage may vary!) as it is very useful for taking notes an notating scores. But I can appreciate that it isn't for every one so long as you have something that works for you. Just don't pass off other peoples tech choices because you fell you have no need for a certain feature set that they might.

Edit: So I basically said the same thing as three other people. Sorry.

You wouldn't use a tablet for the purpose of said tablet and it won't work for your personal reasons that it was never designed for (I'd bet playing games is the only thing you're wanting to do on it), therefore it's a gimmick and a bad design.

Does that sum up your argument?

Let me guess; you're a computer science major, your school requires you to have a surface tablet, and those 5 people who love it are your friends.

How about this: a master of engineering in computer science, ubuntu is the standard os on al department pc's and surface tablets are not desktop replacements but additions and are very nice for their intended use. Don't be a douche...
