It's fairly old and cheap and better than what I have now. I am thinking of getting it. Any thing I should know before I buy?

well what is your budge maybe we could help you find something better but if its very cheap and it is an upgrade then I guess you could get it

instead of buying something crappy that's better than what you have, save up your money for something great that's way better than what you have.

EDIT: the 8800 is ~$150, you can get a 750 Ti for around the same price with way better performance.

If there is anything cheaper for better/around the same performance I would love to have more options. (Current MoBo only supports DDR2 so that's a BIG limit

Your RAM doesn't bottleneck your graphics card.

On ebay it is around 24 dollars. Thats why I say this particular gpu

Just save up some extra money for an R7 250X. It will blow the 8800 out of the water.

You can get a used r9 270X for maybe 100$ i'd guess dont get such an old card...

Your graphics card RAM has nothing to do with DDR2. Your CPU RAM is DDR2. Your GRAPHICS CARD ram is GDDR5. Your motherboard doesn't affect VRAM.

The RAM being DDR2 won't matter much, the CPU is going to be the one which can cause you the most bottlenecks

As long as your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot, it should be compatible. Your CPU ram and your VRAM are completely unrelated.

Try your local classifieds you can get 6770s pretty cheap on there, but ymmv, and whether it's local used or ebay it's a gamble.

You can get a used r9 270X for maybe 100$ i'd guess dont get such an old card...

It would be wise to know, what psu you're running right now.

If you have a crapshot noname 400/500W unit, forget gpu upgrades.
