Ugh... the new site is terrible... I used to love how easy to use pcpartpicker was and how simple the design was, now its all fancy with over done graphics and alot more focused on you putting a build on their site, Like this post if you liked the old design :'/. I wouldnt care about it if they had an option to go back to the old style... but they are making it so you have to view there "New and Improved" version

Finally it looks like a site I want to use.

But still not up to the standard I would like to see.

I use Geizhals (a german site) a lot more, because it has so much more information for each product and I was able to find pretty much everything there.
PCPartpicker has still the problem, that the german site does not include all retailers, so the prices are simply not correct and it is hard to find good deals.

I like the new format. Just wish they would add more retailers and some parts like raid cards and other obscure parts.

I prefer it, looks so much better!

I thought the old one looked very cheap? Like a 5$ template.. I don't know why...

I'm going to put a link to my PC specs which actually aren't my PC specs and I cry myself to sleep everyday so I can have these PC specs but I can't afford these PC specs so PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs.

Whine or adapt. Your choice.

adapt to lesser functionality? I'll whine if it's taking a step backwards in functionality

Just like how Windows 8 was rolled out and then it was heavily criticized. After a while everyone will just accept it and love it for wat it is. But I think this is one of the few posts that says the new layout is bad. Most seem to like it including me.

It looks nice but I find it less efficient. Lists of parts are divided into pages which makes comparison and browsing more difficult. Filter options are organized in a way that requires more scrolling and expanding categories, less efficient. I no longer simply have all the part categories at the top of the page, but have to click "Browse by Individual Parts" to see these options... extra click is less efficient. It now also fills the lists of parts with parts that aren't in stock anywhere, resulting in clutter and inefficient browsing.

I'm not happy with the changes. Maybe my standards will get lower as I get used to it.

I'm all for making websites more visually appealing. That should not come at the cost of easy navigation and usability, especially on a site designed to make it easy to do something a lot of people find daunting.

I don't know anyone who loves the changes Windows 8 brought. People learned to deal with it and use ClassicShell / Startisback etc... that doesn't mean the changes were remotely good to begin with. Windows 8 was still a mistake, but it's one I can deal with since I can mostly undo the crap they did and it still brings some performance improvements. And performance improvements are more important than visual appeal. PCPartPicker took the opposite path. They compromised usability to make the site look prettier.
