No Coldplay?

Well, I'm out. But seriously, I won't make comments on your song selection, as such is trivial, but eh. I don't normally like it when people are like *hurrdurr, i hate mainstream because yeah it's all shit*. If you're gauging these groups based upon what's played on the radio, you're not getting the full picture (for example, Coldplay), but I can respect it if it's just not your type of music. But either way, I recommend you browse around the Monstercat YouTube channel. They're an electronic music label, and all of their music is well sorted by subgenre. Really good stuff too.

Personally I listen to this freelancers, and video game OST... for rock music I would go with the Final Fantasy Crisis Core Soundtrack its a whole bunch of rock and some upbeat songs...

Nujabes is pretty cool too, you should listen to some of his music. A very talented artist, too bad he died so young.

Ur taste in mus1k is shit /s

I find it hilarious that in my opinion your taste in music is mainstream, and your friends think your taste is not mainstream.

Anyway, like before, Monstercat is a great place to start for EDM.  Not only do they offer a lot of niche EDM subgenres, they also are one of the few labels that use Bandcamp for everything, meaning FLAC galore! Their Monstercat compilation albums are also very good if you just want to see like 20 songs from their label every couple of months.

I'll drop a link to my favorite local rock band, since anything I give you would probably be Japanese.

This guy called NatsuFuji is pretty good as well he makes excellent remixes

This other dude called Triple-Q also makes remixes by fusing video game music with hip hop music

Dunno why you care that your friends think you're dumb for not liking mainstream songs. They're the scrubs for listening that top 40 crap.

P.S: Hip-Hop / Rap = love, Hip-Hop / Rap = life.

Artist I'm listening to right: Tunji Ige, Joey Bada$$, Drake, J Cole, Action Bronson, Curren$y, Schoolboy Q, Flatbush Zombies, Meek Mill, Wale.

Bert & Ernie before squirting spermie.
