Apologies if this has already been posted.

Ubisoft are showing their colours again. This article on Kitguru (LINK) outlines how cheats are still prospering including an unreal video of one of said cheats.

Secondly they have delayed access to the next DLC for PC season pass holders, so now they will only get access at the same time as other PC users, 9 days after console season pass holders & 2 days after console non-season pass holders, The excuse being 'due to technical reason'.

Ahhh Ubisoft... Keep on digging!

I fail to see a big deal.

Same here, it's only about time and it's just DLC.

Sure, it's not something that should happen, but not something that's worth making a fuzz about either. A small compensation would be in place, as it was something they promised.

I'm telling the truth! I AM a 12 year old girl!

It seems a common trends on this forum.  Members like to make mountains out of mole hills and blame poor game performance on "poor optimization" rather than their computer (where the issue actually is).   I wouldn't even say compensation is due.  I'd say the customers need to man-up and stop being a baby about the little things.

Fuck them, the fact u can change multiplier for your WR is making me outrageous ! Also what they did to Algera (stock speed 440kmph, perf speed not even 400, no other configs for the car available...) makes me hate them even more.

So you guys are upset because they're trying to have it working so they don't release a broken DLC?

Seems like Ubisoft isn't the only one digging.

Poor optimization is the case in quite a few games though. Personally I think people should just shut up about it, a majority of the threads in this subforums are circlejerking about bad graphics and how shit the big companies are, rather than actual discussion about games.

A compensation IS in place. If the developers make a promise, open it for sale(like the season pass) and doesn't keep it, then they should make up for it. If they canceled the promise before they made it available for purchase, then it's fine. However, I still agree people need to man up, the complaints about stuff like GTA V delays are just ridiculous, they complain about poor optimization and shitty porting, but still want the game as fast as possible..

I agree with most of what you said, however asking for compensation is just first-world entitlement taking over. Unless it's stated somewhere in some terms and conditions that anything is guaranteed, compensation is a silly idea. But, I might be wrong and it might be written.

Of course we're not entitled to compensations. The thing is that if they promise their customers something and put it on sale, they shouldn't be allowed to simply shrug it off like nothing happened. It's about principles, in this case it's not a big deal, but if it just passes every time, it'll potentially lead to worse things.

People already paid for what they've promised, so they should make up for it when they don't follow through. It doesn't have to be something big like a free game, a simple discount on one of their games would make me content, it shows that they care.

I guess we would have to agree to disagree, beause I think that is entirely wrong.

Why? Is it okay that publishers can break promises they've put up as a sale point then get away with it by telling us that they're sorry and we have to just deal with?

this

seams like at this point anything Ubisoft does will be labeled as digging...  I can see the headline now, "ubisoft saves 17 babies from drowning" and the LTT thread title will still have "Ubisoft digging" in it

its a scam.. they could avoid it by holding down release of DLC for those 10 days.. and all would be fine.. but they decided to screw PC gamers who got season pass..

You could argue that we get screwed by practically every publisher then.

To name a some;

Rockstar

Activision

EA

2K Games

Sega

All of these and pretty much every other publisher has had things released on console before PC including dlc, full games and online services.

That's kinda the problem isn't it. They keep looking for the boundaries, and we keep obliging.

If you want to see the big deal, compare a AAA launch today to an equal launch ~7/8 years ago.

AAA launches did used to be better because there was no room for day one patches. 7-8 years ago people didn't have the internet to support that lol.

I am not justifying day one patches and I totally agree with you, the conveniences granted by new technology and the expansion of the internet has allowed the industry and often consumers to become lazy.
