do NOT buy logitech g710+ mech keyboard

I'll keep this short. even their forums are flooded with complaints. they all have the similar problem being keys easily cracking underneath.

You really don't have to make a whole post about this issue.

I'm fairly sure, Logitech have already fixed this issue.

Woops. I guess I made a mistake then! :-) Mine is fine. It has been fine. It will be fine. I do not slam my keyboard around; I am not rough with it. Logitech will send you replacement keycaps if you send a complaint or RMA. (Even if you're past the warranty or RMA period.) I have had this keyboard for about a month and a half. My friend has had his for more than a year. His is fine, mine is fine. It's a really comfortable quality keyboard with slightly less-than-ideal keycaps. End of story.

I'm pretty sure Linus uses one at the office. If he uses it on a daily basis it can't be that awful.

Edit: He indeed does use it at the office: http://instagram.com/p/yntQJWSbBR/?modal=true

Didn't plan on it, but ok.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

If you are going to type with a hammer, you better be buying a Model M instead.

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

This has been known about in the keyboard community for quite some time. As long as you should be typing on Blues or Browns and not Greens or Greys they you should be fine.

I am just going to go ahead and call bullshit. If this was a thing which to some point I believe it was with maybe their original batches it's not a thing anymore. I can say that that is clearly from abuse of the keyboard and not from normal use. I have had my g710+ for months now and I am an incredibly heavy user. I just checked several keys and not the slightest deformation was found. Moral of the story is don't pound on your keyboards.

seriously I didn't "abused" my keyboards. I'm not a child that's fit for rage every now and then.

I mostly play this keyboard on dota 1 and Osu!. Some of them claimed (in their forums) that you have to perfectly hit the keys in complete 180 degree. any "angled" key presses is basically doomsday for this keyboard.

and I have to agree. the keys are easily removable by hand (or more precisely, with two fingers) with little to no effort. unlike the rest of other keyboards that would really take effort to pull it off (razer, TT, corsair, etc).

I wouldn't trust that Linus is a moderate gamer. Sure, he'd use the keyboard mostly for typing reviews, but that kind of "burn test" isn't as intensive as gaming.

Known problem, not all that common - Yes there are other threads in existence, but how many are duplicate posts (same person on two different threads) and how many people have bought the keyboard? Logitech has great warranty service at least in NA.

They also have great support in the EU.

And really, there is nothing wrong with the keyboard. The most common key cap to break have been the left Control one, but my brother (who often mashes his keyboard) have had little, to no problems with his G710+.
