:)  Hello guys, I'm planning to build a PC, but I'm confused should I use Window 7 or 8.1?

I personally prefer Win 7 better, but I'm afraid after win 10 came out, 7 would be eliminated on the market with in the next few years!

Btw, Where do u guys purchase operating systems from? buying operating system disks from Amazon, Bestbuy?

Whats the best way to get a operating system?  Thank you all for your time :D

8.1 is superior to 7 in every way. For a new build, definitely go 8.1.

even if you got 7 10 if a free upgrade from it so yea

8.1 the way to go, but maybe look into win 10 because if you like it you can buy win 7 and upgrade for free to win 10 if win 7 is cheaper for you

I've used both Windows 7 and 8.1 for a long time. Windows 8.1 is definitely better, even with the shitty metro-thing. Its faster, more convenient, has awesome features like the ability to mount ISOs without Daemon Tools, and it performs better for gaming.

you can purchase them form newegg, amazon, and from Microsoft. If you are a student you can use you school email to get cheap copy's of windows

and go with 8.1 and if you don't like the live tiles you can always go to nitenite.com and get classic start and all your other programs you may need.
