Is my idle temps fine?4790k

Go to solution Solved by c0d0ps,

So i just upgraded to a corsair h110 and overclocked my cpu to 4.6Ghz@1.238v and it's pretty stable but i just changed my thermalpaste to the arctic silver 5 and i don't know if these temps are okay and i'm currently at 0% usage so this is the lowest temps. Is this stable(normal)?

As long as idle is under 50 don't worry about it :P

But I prefer to have it under 70 load .. ^^

Idle doesn't matter that much. But yes, those temperatures are great.

Load temps are what matter the most. For example, my 4690K (watercooled) idle temps are around 30°C

But, load temps are no more than 40-45°C

Stress Testing on Aida64, I get around mid 70s. My highest temp yet is 80.

Do not use Prime95 on your processor. It's bad.
