VAT in 'murica?

So as in title, is there any VAT or taxes on products in america? It looks almost too nice to be true sometimes when i look at us based sites pricing and whatnot. Or is it more complicated?

They have a sales tax between 5%-10% (Usually only in stores, not online)

 

But yes, compared to most EU countries, damn near everything over there is cheap.

For buying goods at physical stores, there's tax on products somewhere between 6-10% but it isn't included in the listed price. They're somehow able to get around this for the most part online, and you only have to pay tax if you live in 4 certain states

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."

thats pretty scummy to not include taxes in prices. Altho i guess its not that easy to do when not everythng has tax on it. Still its better than effin hungary with the 27% we have here -.-"

20-25% varying through countries, and like i said, Hungary tops out at 27%

No online sales tax if the company is based in a different state. Everywhere I shop the companies are located somewhere else so I pay no online sales tax.
