Dating someone from work. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Keep in mind the company I work for has over 10,000 employees at my location. Said person is in a different department and work says its ok. Is it ok to date someone from work? What are your thoughts? Also sorry for asking but its in off topic and thought I would ask. Have you had a bad experience with this?

Do not. And i repeat. Do not date someone you work with closely.. Really not a good idea. (Unless it's the one and you are loveydovey until the day you die. Which will be soon since your co workers might murder you for that)

No, but I've witnessed enough with people around me.

Be careful, go to your PR department and tell them you are in a relationship. They will get you to sign a contact that wont allow either of you to testify against each other if things go bad. But I tend to follow the rule of Dont mix work and play.

I see her 4 days a week at work. I try not to talk to her at work. Your right I have been asking myself this question for a while but I also wanted to try something different. I have nothing to hide. I have only gone on one date and that was 3 weeks ago. Our schedules don't really match up. Its a tough one for sure.

The thing about dating someone in the same department (in contrast) is that you'll probably be forced to work together on occasion. This is never a good thing.
