The Water Cooling Gallery

That NCase build looks like it was super fun the build. How bad is it on terms of maintenance? do you have to work some risky water cooling magic ?

The case wasn't terrible. Since I used QDC's. That made it much easier. Ultimate, my components were, or rather would have been, too hot. The NCase was a system I had with plans to upgrade it. I used an old 980, and bought the i7-5820K in anticipation of the 6950X. I also had plans to put the new Titan X(P) in there. On liquid, at stock clocks, the CPU got up to around 60°, and the GPU got to around 55°. I wanted to run the 6950X at at least 4.0GHz, and possibly OC the Titan X. And while I probably could have kept those components cool with just a 240 rad, the motherboard would reach around 65°C from heatsoak, as well as the HDD reaching like 65°C, and once almost 70°C.

If I had used maybe a large capacity NVMe or multiple SSD's, and had a monoblock, perhaps it would have sufficed.

Currently the case has my girlfriend's build in it, which is an i3-6100, and the GTX 980. The 980 loads up to around 70°C and the CPU stays under 55° with a Noctua NH-L9i cooler.

That would be based off 100 different variables. But that is what I hear. These fans are quiet, even at max if 1200. So that's where they run while gaming. Pump is on number 2 out of 5.

Not an expert or trying to troll...... but from the look's of it your loop doesn't go through each item equally.  IE: the water has 3 option's none of which are mandatory.  It can go through either card or neither and only go through the cpu block.

Or each of them get a third of the flow, which is why I used 1/2" tubing.

It works. singularity computers builds all his like that. Also so does jays2cents. I don't prefer it over anything but its looks better and is easier to build.

It will provide LESS flow to certain components depending on the restriction of each component.  That doesn't mean that it will necessarily lower the flow enough to change temps even.   If you used extremely restrictive GPU blocks like Alphacool gpx with a low restriction cpu block like a raystorm then you will get some temp issues.   EK's EVO/MX and the 9-series GPU blocks were both around .7psi at 1GPM so running parallel is really no issue at all :D (edit: i dont think he had 9-series, but i'd bet they're within .1psi of eachother both being EK)

@Mick Naughty @Psittac

edit: actually MX is higher psi that EVO, my bad

I think I seen someone get two 360's on one of those. Really thinking of trying one.

I do love the hoses and fitting. Gotta get some for one of my rigs.

Were the holes already there for the pump?

yes sir has a set of slotted holes to accept a few pump designs.

Yea you can cram 2 360s in here if you run slim rads with a set of 90* fittings. I opted for a the middle ground 240 to avoid lots of swearing when trying to get the hose clamped down.

Very nice.

Have you thought about using Hard line tubing inside and then bulkheads to transition to flexible tubing outside the case?

Thought about it, but then I'd still have to deal with soft tubing "woes", maintenance of my loop right now is stupid easy due to just being able to move crap wherever I need, I like the convenience.

I may be buying a 1/2 horsepower chiller soon, so I may be changing stuff around again.

CPU @ 5ghz is in the 40-55 range in gaming situations, cinebench r15 is like ~55-60, prime95 65-70.

GPU usually around 35, give or take a few degrees depending on room temp ofc.

That's with fans at like 50%, so ~1000 rpm-ish.

If I leave fans at 30% which is where I usually leave em, temps go up a few degrees on cpu & gpu, but it's silent then.  50% fan speed just has a small bit of "woosh" noise.
The chiller I want goes down to 4c, so those load temps could be in the 15-20c range for gpu and in the 30's for the CPU.

I may be buying a binned 7700k off siliconlottery since I have a partnership with him, and trying to see if I can't have a 5.3 ghz daily chip with the chiller.
