Dude... If u are getting it till summer and you dont got your money yet, dont even think about it yet. Wait untill you got your money, and it is hard in some areas to get 2015 parts only, since 2015 is still a new year so not much have been released yet. Did you knew that newest isnt always the best?

LOL. a $5800 PC JUST for GAMING. Hell, i wouldnt even spend that much on just a gaming PC, if you're gonna ball out your money on 4 980's and an overkill cpu then fair enough, personally i think its just bragging rights.

go spend that other $2500 on some other shit, like go redecorate or build a gaming room.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you're building a computer for gaming, then you don't need a fifth generation i7.  None of the best games out there will use more than 4 cores anyways so you might as well have faster (but fewer) cores.

There's no need to max out the number of GPUs you get either.  Scaling drops with the number of GPUs you add (i.e. 2 cards isn't twice as fast as 1 card and 3 cards definitely aren't three times as fast as 1 card).  Base your card memory on the resolution of the monitors you plan on using.

With your budget, you might want to consider an M.2 x4 SSD (like the Samsung XP941) or even a PCIe SSD like the Mushkin Scorpion Deluxe.  Both are far faster than standard SSDs.

Most importantly, if you aren't going to have the money until the end of the summer, spend the time between now and then learning what you can here.  There are lots of forums and a ton of free information available.  Education is free, the hardware you are going to buy isn't.

Tell us at the end of the summer what you finally decided to build and post a build log.
