Been recently thinking about the purchase I made for my new rig. I bought a refurbished eVGA GTX 780 for $300. The price for it on Amazon was around $600.

Did you think this purchase was worth it? And how do I make sure this GPU has no problems. Stress test?

That's a pretty good price.

But honestly, you've already bought it. The decision is made, and done.

haha, more like a hair better in most games...

but it has official dx12 support, 4gb of memory, runs cooler and quieter, uses less power... so yes, well worth 30 bucks more over a 780...

Nope, 970 is better than the 780, its more powerful, more efficient, and I believe overclocks significantly better.

These benchmarks are overclocked.

Both cards are overclocked. One may be more than the other but still. Also if you need more performance you overclock and if you don't then it doesn't matter.

I'll be honest with you... I have no idea. The box just said eVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780. However it looks like this one.

ohhhhh canadian.

in that case, the 970 is $384, cheaper than the 780 by a lot..

Good deal then.

A 970 is similar to a 780ti and 290x and better than both of them when overclocked.

970 would have been smarter IMO but the 780 is still a kick ass card, enjoy gaming.

a good reason to click it was to see what part of the world this user is posting from mate!

to be a good helper around here you have to be smarter than most and this was a basic.

United-states of america only makes for about 4% of the world at best do you realise that?
