a good reason to click it was to see what part of the world this user is posting from mate!

to be a good helper around here you have to be smarter than most and this was a basic.

United-states of america only makes for about 4% of the world at best do you realise that?

A large portion of this forum is from the US, and that statistic isn't relevant. A HUGE portion of the internet community is US, especially when it comes to PC hardware.

Been recently thinking about the purchase I made for my new rig. I bought a refurbished eVGA GTX 780 for $300. The price for it on Amazon was around $600.

Did you think this purchase was worth it? And how do I make sure this GPU has no problems. Stress test?

Don't bother with Kepler, Nvidia not going to optimize the driver for Keplers lineup anymore.

the 780 has more cuda cores which help in programs such as adobe premier pro. the 780 is still a beast gpu and well worth the price imo

just run unigine valley benchmark to see if any artifacts or freezes, if not you should be good. stress test such as furmark i've always heard were actually bad for gpus.

Doesn't work that way. GTX 680 have 3x more cores than GTX 580 but GTX 580 have more compute/cuda powers compare to GTX 680.

Nvidia gimped Kepler compute power to be more efficient gaming cards.
