How do you usually format your reports?

We sometimes have spam on the forum and the user who does this usually posts multiple times in 10 minutes..

How do you report?

I usually say it's spam and what spam it is (like the black magic help, football matches Reddit link or relationship help spams...)

Just quick and easy (about 4-5 words..)

What do you say in your reports? Or is a shorter report better?

For threads/posts that are obvious spam, I just write spam...

 

For a user who is clearly a spammer/bot, I write spamming, then append it with three links to three threads where he/she/it has made an offense...

Oh - I thought you meant like college papers when I read the title I was gonna say APA style.

 

As far as on the forums, Make it short and sweet. Just pack as many details into as few lines as possible so that it doesnt take forever to read but properly conveys your message.

If double-post, a separate link is needed.

If Spambot -> Report the spambot-profile, as it makes dealing with it quicker.

If rule-breaking a copy / paste of the rule in question.

A short description of why you find the post in question to be inappropriate.

For the obvious spambots just put a "." and send it in. We'll know what to do

For anything else please be as detailed as possible, with links for reposts/duplicates, etc.

Actually the CoC says that you shouldn't report member profiles unless something in the profiles is against the CoC:

Member Profiles: Please do not simply report a member profile unless there is content on it that is against the Code of Conduct (inappropriate avatar, content in the "About Me" section, inappropriate Profile Feed items, etc.). If a member has been posting report-worthy content, report that content, not the member's profile. IF reporting a specific profile, indicate clearly why in the report comments.

I highly doubt that that is applicable for spammers, especially considering any Moderator has to go the spammer's profile in order to remove their content anyway.

 

Obviously your "normal" user is going to have to be judged by the specific content you find inappropriate - but this doesn't apply for a spambot. Everything the spambot does is inappropriate.
