So I'm looking for some software to record game play any ideas?

I've used obs for streaming which is fine but if I record with it the quality just isn't up to par which is a shame since I love useing obs

I've also tryed dxtory which has the same problems with being up to par with the video quality and seems to stutter In the video but I really liked the possibility to have the diffrent audio sources separate.

I've also tryed shadow play which comes out with great quality but the audio never works with it

So as you can see I have tryed a few programs but I seem to have some problems with some of them if shadow play worked that's what I'd use so any suggestions on fixing that or another program to try would be great thanks

OBS is probably your best option

You probably did it wrong the first time

dxtory has better/same quality than shadowplay, you are doing something very wrong.

OBS SHOULD work fine.

I like Bandicam and Fraps too (I like Bandicam more.)

You just have watermarks in the free versions..

What CPU are you running with?

If you have a Nvidia GPU than ShadowPlay should work brilliantly, and OBS/Dxtory should also work fine.

Try out MSI Afterburner if you are still having problems with the aforementioned programs.

Have you tried changing the setting with OBS such as bitrate , Bit Rate will be lower when streaming but if you record you can crank it up.

Streaming I have it at twitchs recommended which I think is 3500 or 4000 cannot remember recording wise I had it at 6000

You are able to have more than one quote/comment, it's easier if you were to make just one comment instead of 3+.

Anyways.

I've had experience with AMD's GVR, and I've found that recording the audio can be a pain.

Be sure to double check the capture inputs for the audio.

You'd have to select two different audio sources for it to record both your mic and game audio.

Check out MSI Afterburner, see how you go with it, I've had no problems with it at all.

No moar fraps please . Huge files , drops fps like a byotch

I use traps for all my videos, a 30 minute recording for me is around 2-3GB I think, and it doesn't cause that much of a fps reduction.

Nope . fraps has way bigger files .

I can't check atm as I'm not home, but it isn't that bad.

Big deal if the files are a little large.

File was so bit i coudn't watch the 1440p recording that i had on my old hard drive because the read speed was too slow and it had to buffer .( HDD was ok ) .

That's why people doing video recording or such should use fast hdds or ssds.
