MSI gaming 7VS Schiit Stack (Magni + Modi)

FruitBasketSilex

Very probably, 250 ohm beyers are reasonably sensitive.

Amp, not DAC. And see my disagreement above.

I'm tired, pretty sure they got my point

Speaking it's lower than your budget, you could get a nice swivel arm to put it near your mouth. Want a link to one of those too?

Yes please

Also, between the two headphones previously stated, what would be the better set?

Not the highest quality, but it'll work just fine speaking the Samson mic isn't that heavy. What's nice is the inclusion of a shock mount :)

I'd personally say the custom one pros, because you toggle the bass with a lever on the headphones

They can go from like flat to very bassy

Is the lever simply 1/0 or can it be anywhere in between super-bassy, and none at all?

Appatently there's not much of a difference, so I'll go with headphones, rather than DAC/amp combo. Would the mobo be able to drive 250ohm headphones?

It really depends on the motherboard. I have a pair of DT770's and have yet to find a computer that can't drive them to at least a mildly uncomfortable volume. 250ohms isn't crazy efficient, but isn't super difficult to drive either, usually I'm around the halfway mark to 3/4 volume with on board audio. If you find they just don't get loud enough for your tastes, you might consider a Schiit amp down the road.

I reallly realllly like the Monster NCredible NPulse over ears. I have VERY good headphones, but yet the monsters still sound amazing to me.

edit: wow, I think they got discontinued because they are out of stock a lot of places and the price is a lot higher than it used to be :/

I'll try thinking of something else

Thank you, I think I will definitely get that mic+stand, and I'll toss it about in my head between the headphones. You've been super helpful. Thank you!

250 ohms have nothing to do with the efficiency of the headphones, it is a separate spec entirely.

The efficiency doesn't have anything to do with 250 ohms, the sensitivity / efficiency of a headphone is labelled as such in the spec sheets.

For instance, I believe the DT series has a 96 DB sensitivity.
