Steam Adds FPS counter in new beta.

Just thought I'd let you guys know, in the new steam beta there is an fps counter option in settings/in-game.
I have not tried it yet as i use shadowplay and the counter on that but still..should be useful for some other people :)

I'm not gonna use it cause I've already got fraps running constantly with its FPS counter.

That might be.. Somewhat helpful.

Fraps doesn't always keep running when I close a game and start it up again.

what about other games? not just valve ones

I use Razer Gamebooster to see the FPS, It allocates more CPU to the game and to my mouse software so it runs as smoothly as it can.

But il probably use the steam counter since some games doesnt play nice with Raxer Gamebooster.

I found that program really buggy

 

You are best just making sure that you have nothing set to open on start up so that there is no clutter running when you play games, all it does is shut down necessary programs in the background

 

great for people who dont want the hassle i guess

It doesnt shut them off, It just lower the priority to low instead of normal, It is easy to use, It is better now than what it was but it is still a bit buggy when adding games and such.

It's cool, I guess, but there are already about a dozen others out there that will work on any game.
