Hyperx + Amp Question

I have a Fiio e10, If I get the hyperx, it comes with a cable to combine the headphone jack and mic jack into 1. If I use that and plug it in the Fiio, will the mic still work? Probly a noob question but im not sure haha. Thanks.

Probably yes, but why don't you just use it without the Y splitter?

No, you will have to use a splitter and plug the microphone into the motherboard. There is no microphone input on the E10

No it won't work. You need to get an extension cable and plug the mic into your onboard.

If you've interested in spending more money, the Syba DAC has a mic input right next to the headphone output.
