Shouldn't an admin create a thread for simple questions?

Hey guys,

I think this section needs a sticky thread where people can ask simple questions. Honestly, everytime I visit the GPU section all I see is EVGA vs ASUS, Gigabyte vs MSI, "Is this GPU good" and so the lost goes on

I find this quite annoying, I want to help people who have real issues not answer the same question all day long...

so basically like an FAQ thread? we can make one of those if thats what youre asking then ask to have it pinned.

I think we already know that no one reads FAQ's. Everyone has a different situation.

"Simple questions, Simple answer" threads get unwieldy pretty quickly once it gets too more than 5 or 10 pages they kind of lose the simple aspect because people answer the same questions over and over. and people with new unique questions often need to give more info, kind of takes it out of the realm of simple questions.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

Your idea of a simple question may not be the case for others, for example , questions released to space maybe a simple question for an Astrophysics than an mechanical engineer , i am exaggerating  , you but get the gist here, i don't have any idea abt overclocking , but the questions i ask are simple to those who do , and that is why this Forum exits , so this entire forurm is about simple questions that can be answered by those who can answer.

agreed. specific questions are cool and can be answered with responses that will help someone find an answer. These generalized "what brand is better" threads are troll bait, if not borderline spam.

I've tried asking for pinning of the guides I did to help people asking the barrage of SLI and vRAM questions, but nobody ever replies. So I highly doubt they would ever actually get a FAQ pinned.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday

I feel the tech world (lol) is a bit too complex and is always changing. There are just so many variations. Something that may be true for now may not be true tomorrow.

Similar to what GzeroD said, I do also think that having a multipaged thread of "simple" questions would no longer make it a convenience.

Also, define what a "simple" question is

CPU: 5820K GPU: Gigabyte G1 970 RAM: 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Mobo: EVGA m-ATX Cooler: Corsair H100i Case: Xigmatek Aquila PSU: NZXT 700W Monitors: 2 x Wasabi Mango (1440p)

so true. the internet is already filled with parrots who will incessantly repeat the same thing for years, like "2GB video memory is more than enough for 1080p" or my favorite "pc games only use 2 threads."

Just imagine an FAQ that people are quoting years later to prove something that is no longer true.
