Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Cherry gaming keyboard

LED: Phanteks LED lights for the inside

Thermal Paste: Artic cooling MX4 for replacing the paste which is stock on the Kelvin S36

Y NO RAMPAGE V EXTREME?

Honestly, I love that motherboard. If I would have had more money I would have gotten that. But I realized that buying a 0.5 TB SSD and a new keyboard is worth more then this expensive motherboard which have features which I will never even use. So I instead bought a decent stabile motherboard with just a few less features then the big boy Rampage V extreme, note that I wont maybe use all features Asus X99-S can offer. I choose X99-S also because it got cover on a few places like over the I/O stuff. I need that cover because I will later on Spraypaint those covers with RED paint so it get a impression of ROG, I love red and black:D.

R5E costs in Sweden 4200 SEK and the X99-S 2800 SEK, both are counted as much for a motherboard but I could afford it. Instead I saved 1400 kr and bought a bigger SSD.

So sorry Rampage V extreme;( not this time:D Maybe I will buy a ROG board on the next build. BUT I WILL MAKE MY BUILD AS ROGGY AS POSSIBLE:D

Members of the forum, Thank you for your help and support. Without a great forum like this I would have never gotten the great and helpfull answers I got in the last past year. I've learned alot of you guys. Thank you for you patiense with me.

I know that I was very annoying a few times when I asked things over and over again, I am sorry about that. But As you can see in the last past months i have not asked so many things, because I already know the basics which I need to know, But I am still very far away from knowing everything in computers:D I don't have to know everything, this is just a hobby I have:D

Finally my dreambuild comes true:D

Here is a picture of how it will look like:

Wish me good luck building it:D

Merry Xmas and Happy new year to everyone! :)

Make the rear fan intake to cool the motherboard better and to maintain a more positive airflow in the case.

The 850 Evo can totally be in front instead of behind the tray btw--gotta show off that 3d nand.

Only issue i see is the noctua fans, 3000rpm ones are like jet engine, even if you undervolt them to min RPM they sound bad to my ears, otherwise you chose awesome parts, have fun with your PC. ;)

By the way, what made you choose the S36?

I'm debating between S36 and Nepton 280L atm.

Well...

I've been looking and was trying to search for info and benchmark for this new S36 but I can hardly find one since it just got released..

I've took instead the NZXT kraken X61 which is the best 280mm AIO watercooler and compared it to another 360mm AIO watercooler, the Thermaltake Water 3.0 ultimate. It beat the X61, So that is how I counted it out that the S36 would beat the 280mm radiators. Maybe a stupid comperation but I had no options.

Also Fractal design Kelvin S36 is using Alphacool grade stuff. Fractal design claims that the pump and the radiator is from alphacool and it is expandable, And in order to make a AIO expandable you need a very powerfull pump, like Alphacool stuff. This is what made me buy this 360 mm radiator. I would choose in your case if price difference inst big the S36. In sweden S36 cost as much as the KRaken X61.

I am 100% sure that that S36 will beat the nepton, since the nepton gets beaten by a few celcius against Kraken X61 and KRaken X61 loses against a lower quality 360mm Aio watercooler (thermaltakes) and fractaldesign is expected to beat the thermaltake ones because of the stuff it is made of.

This is how I thought it would be.

So I vote for Fractal design S36

yeah I know the PSU is overkill. But I maybe will be needing the extra power later. yeah I know Nvidia have been going down in TDP but who knows if Nvidia continue to do that and who knows that in a few years I may buy a AMD Gpu..

That is why I've chosen 1000 watt PSU

Yeah I was thinking the same. But note that the fans only go on 3000 rpm while they are on 12 volts. And the fans will be connected to the MB which means the MB will change the volts according to the temps.  (if I am not happy with those settings I will fidn out how I can make own settings)

But thanks for the heads up:D

(I know its overkill dont blame me)

I currently got a 1080p monitor:( yeah. I will be upgrading to a wide screen till summer. I've chosen SLi 970s since SLI looks better for me:D and it is worth the extra money over a single 980 (I am aware of the issues SLI can cause)

If you need a new PC just start saving up, you can get a really good one for 1000$:D If you want really good one. Do like me but not recommended, Save for a really long time till you get a result like this:)

Thanks:D I will do a buildlog Later, Just follow my profile or something to see when it comes up

(I will probably make it in a few weeks, yeah weeks because some stuff are not in stock and ppl in sweden are not working right now, so it is going really slow) :/

Nvidia probably isn't going to make less efficient gpus in the future--same goes for AMD. The supposed new 20nm cards from AMD should be much more power efficient.

Were you able to find out whether or not the Fractal Design logo on the pump lights up? Also do you know if the wrench for attaching the fans is included?

There is so little information on this AIO cooler because it isn't available in America.

Ohh I remember that there were ome complications about that a wrench is needed, well I will find out how to put it on, On the first time on my life I will use the manual:D (2lazyformanuals). A wrench is not included, I did not really saw a "good" unboxing yet about it but I dont think fractal design would include it, maybe they do maybe not, But a wrench is cheap.

The reason why it wa out of stock in sweden because I remember that they bught everything out after 2 weeks of release. And fractal design is a good in reliable brand, their high quality Rx series cases proves it, I think this series of watercooling will be a sucses.

Yes it lights up on the pump, I think i saw that in a video.
