The poor buyer lost quite a bit of money for some less important parts.

Look at his location, he's in Australia I think.

If it is Australian, than the price seems about right area to a point...though slightly used I do remember hearing how in Australian computer parts are normally more spendier than the states..so all in all it might actually be a reasonable price not a rip off

you can call me all you want. i would still take a profit over a loss.

but im nit offended. so Thanks for whatever you said.

I'm actually selling my PC from last year. The specs add up to $750 and I'm selling it at $600. If its used don't sell at retail. Or more than retai . Asshole.

I don't think it is the OPs fault, when buying something you need to inform yourself. That is what Forums are for.

The buyer is the one who should be more careful.

Dick...

OPs time is worth something. What is wrong with putting a mere $300 ontop of the original cost? He would have made nothing on the components.

Because building a computer doesnt warrant an extra 399$ charge. When I made my original post I didnt realize OP was in Australia, that makes 1300$ more justifiable

For everyone calling the OP a dick, this same set-up would be inflated by several hundred more dollars if bought off the shelf at a rip off retailer like Best Buy. Had this same set-up been inside an Alienware case, it'd probably be closer to 2k than 1k. Yes, it was still a rip, but maybe the person who bought it will use this incentive to learn how to build their own. I know the last "gaming" PC I got forever ago that was a prebuilt turned me away from them for life.

Edit: Since this is Australia, that makes more sense. When you can get $15 an hr working at Mcdonalds, of course your tech prices are inflated.
