Which case fan? Noctua or BeQuiet?

FreshTube

Hello guys,

I need 3 new case fans for my CM Scout 2. Should I buy the Noctua NF-F12 PPC or the BeQuiet Silent Wings 2?

Are the Noctuas overkill for a case fan? And is the air pressure of the BeQuiets high enough?

Merry Christmas!

Noctua fans are awesome with static pressure, but if you move the hard drives cages from the CM Scout 2 (or at least remove one), then there is barely anything blocking those intakes. The Be Quiet! fans are pretty good at not making noise, and are cheaper than the noctuas. Awesome as case fans.

I'm a little partial to Be Quiet, and in this case they will be quieter at full speed, but the extra oomph the Noctua's have could be handy at some point.

If like me you're the type of person who pulls out their HDD bays and repurposes the 5.25" bays then go with the Silent Wings. If your keeping the cages, go with the NF-F12's, but slow them down a bit a little less noise is always good.
