Bought Nvidia 970, Got AMD Never Settle

So the other day I bought a Nvidia GTX 970 off a local vendor called Centralfield here in Hong Kong and they decided to dump a random Radeon Gold Reward (Never Settle) card in which was really ironic. I was skeptical but it actually worked. I even lied about having a 290X when the website asked what card I had. It's really funny because the card says stuff like, "Congratulations on the purchase of our AMD product" and "Compliments of AMD Gaming Evolved".

 

Does similar things happen a lot to you guys? Do hardware vendors just have extra stuff lying around. It'll be cool to hear some stories.

So you got some free games from Never Settle by lying on the vendor's website?

No.

He bought a 970 and got an AMD Never Settle.

When you claim it, on AMD's website, they ask you what GPU you have.

 

At least that's what I understood.

One of my friends once sent in a phone for service and they forgot a 2GB memory card in (when those were considered big)

There is this onlineshop for gaming stuff that dumps in giftcards for hairgel and skinpeeling. Typical stereotype of scruffy gamers? I feel offended :mellow: :(

I have never recieved anything like that. Do they advertise with it?
