I just give up.

 

I am not going to spend more energy on something so useless as a broken 290 card (or motherboard)

 

I am going to take my time and take it to a pc shop monday, I am just done with this piece of shit card.

 

It refuses to be recognized, it refuses everything, but still runs the fans like it works. It is a waste of energy to try to get it to run.

 

I tried everything you could think of, everything.

 

 

Just.........why did I have to get the worst card in the history of graphical cards.

He had legitimately serious issues with his GPU, and nothing he could do would fix it.

Its not fanboying when someone has a better experience with one product and not another.

 

If someone has an issue with an nvidia card and they solve it by switching to AMD then thats great.

Doesn't matter if it's x4. Just run the card on the 2nd slot and see if the problem still exist. If yes, then it could be your card. If not then it could be your board.

Fanboys, fanboys everywhere. I'm just gonna say this: My 7950, GTX 480, and Intel HD (on my Pentium) all get along perfectly fine, and they will happily run together in perfect harmony.

 

As for you @coolkingler1, with luck your next card won't be a piece of shit. It sucks that you have to go through all of this shit. Good luck man.

Honestly, if AMD sent the card back and said it worked at there facility, it sounds like a MOBO problem not recognizing the card. Only way that makes sense really.
