In terms of your boot time, that doesn't sound unreasonable, but I'd check your startup programs and processes to check you're not loading any unwanted bloatware etc :)

Drives: OSs'(PNY XLR8 120GB SSD), Game/Program(PNY XLR8 120GB SSD), and 500gb WD Blue(Backup)

Some motherboards allow you to decrease the POST delay in the bios. You can also turn off the GUI on boot. This can shave a few seconds off your boot times.

To turn off GUI on boot:

1) Press windows key + R

2) type "msconfig" and hit enter

3) Go to the boot tab and check "No GUI boot"

I never timed it with a stopwatch though, the boot time's so short I never cared for it.

no, Raid 0 should have the fastest boot. Go into your BIOS and make sure you have Fast boot settings enabled in the Boot options. But yeah, an SSD should be booting within like 20 seconds. You may need to make sure your boot drive is first in boot order also.

So I timed it from the POST beep and it came out to 17 seconds. I tried looking in the BIOS for a 'Fast Boot' or something similar, but no luck.

RAID will have a slower boot time from button press to in the OS due to the raid initialization during post. After it's initialized yes, it would be quite fast.

From button press to playing in the OS is about 25 seconds for me.

On a good day my notebook boots up in about 1 min.. I have it set for performance. thats pretty quick for a hdd to me any.

ASUS cannot run fast boot if over 8 GB of RAM, :( but with 16 GB of RAM once its up I can load much more than a 8 GB system :cool:

Is it in a 6gb sata port? Not sure if matters to much as i havnt worked much with SSDs yet but it might help i guess...?
