Get ready to Facepalm!

 

Pat Robertson offered a stern warning today against playing games such as ArcheAge and Dungeons & Dragons, insisting that they may lead to demonic possession.

 

Robertson, who has frequently attacked Dungeons & Dragons, even tying the game to suicide, said on “The 700 Club” this morning that the game led people to do “horrible things and it was almost like an invitation to demonic possession,” while conceding that he has never heard of ArcheAge.

 

“I think we shouldn’t get ourselves involved in something we are roleplaying a thing having to do with demonic forces,” he said.

Well now that's simply preposterous. I play video games all the time and I only sacrifice to Satan maybe 3-5 times a week.... 12 times maximum. I can hardly see a correlation. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go do something completely unrelated to being possessed by a demon.

His ideas may be unfortunate but he has the same right to speak freely that the rest of us do.

 

This stuff used to really get me upset, but now it's funny to me more than anything. Anyone who genuinely enjoys the 700 Club probably holds their own equally insane viewpoints and doesn't need Pat Robertson's urging to do so.
