Posted November 30, 2014 I am looking at buying the Intel Pentium G3258 processor with hopes to overclock it. I also need to buy an ATX motherboard in the $120 range but do not know how to find motherboards that are capable of overclocking. How can I tell which are capable? Thank you. If a board features the Z series chipset (in this case Z97) then it is overclocking capable. And of course it will probably have a feature set to go with it. Our Grace. The Feathered One. Posted November 30, 2014 Any Z97 motherboard will serve you well... Just pick your flavor, there is black, red, yellow, gold, blue, red, red, red and brown...
