I think it's just the average of how people rate it by clicking the star (more stars = better), but it seems to be disabled on this forum.

Just rate a thread/its content in stars. Disabled in some subforums.

It's been disabled, but it still shows up on some themes (doesn't show up on the night theme, it does on the day theme, and it probably does on the IP.Board theme). It doesn't do anything any more.
