what is malware and all this other junk that you hear about infesting computers anyways? are they all the same? are they all different? and how on earth can i get rid of it all on a computer?

I'd suggest getting Avast Anti-virus (free version) and using that for daily virus protection, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scans.

i use avg and malwarebytes but i guess im asking whats more effective? do we really need to pay for anti viruses?

Defining each type is complicated and can be googled. Summed up I would say malware is intended to either use your computer or infect your computer in a way you do not want. Results can be personal data deletion, key logging, being part of a botnet, theft of data, etc. 

There are many types of Virus protection out there but even if you do buy one, I recommend adding malwarebytes alongside it. I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 right now.

Well malware is well bad software or programs that do something without you noticing or change certain things in your system. For example there could be a malware that could send off every website and log every key you have ever pressed to someone else's computer so they can hack your accounts like bank accounts, or social accounts etc. 

 

Viruses can change system properties, delete certain files, or even corrupt files which can place your computer in a inoperable state

 

The best solution to rid of these viruses and malware is with malwarebytes and some good free anti-virus like avast.

Nope, no reason to pay unless you want to support the AV company.

 

AVG + Malwarebytes.

AVAST + Malwarebytes

 

Etc + Malwarebytes will do the trick.

Is it UAC (User Account Control)? If so, just type a password of the admin account and just accept.

doesnt give me that luxury even this is an admin account but it says i dont have the privelages to do so
