120GB SSD + 250GB SSD

C0LL0SS0S

Hey Guys, the topic kinda says everything: I bought a 120GB SSD and now it's filling up (8GB free), I know  there is a option with Raid to bind two Samsung 840 EVOs together, but does this also work with a 120GB and a 250GB?, plus is there a way to make a Backup on my HDD so I don't loose all my data ?

BTW: Maybe I should mention that I just know the name Raid, don't know how to install it so yeah :P

Thanks ahead!!

The 250GB will step down to 120GB (resulting in a 240GB RAID 0), and back up whatever files you need. You should be able to drag and drop.

If you don't know anything about raid, I would suggest staying away from it. You can migrate your apps and os over to the larger ssd and use the smaller for games such as bf4 which will help with loading times

I'd say leave as 2 and just manualy change install path to 2nd drive during app install as if u had an ssd for boot and had 2nd hdd drive for apps/storage. Save yourself the jeadache

Spend the cost of the bigger ssd to a hdd and put there your back up data and your video games! Better split it on 2 partitions in my opinion! You can easily get a 2 TB WD GREEN for example in the same price
