He can get his heart tested and see if it's a genetic problem, and if it is and one that gets passed on then you might have it.

Well he died january last year so it's a bit too late for that  (not because of his heart though.

youre taking your time... friendly advice, you need not only have the nerves for a kid in the first 4 years, you also need much more of them at 12-16, and then a bunch of patience at 20. so plan accordingly
