I don't seem to understand how to quote and add links to things im talking about, like a laptop that I wanted your opinion on.

I hope im not to much of a newb.

It is ok, we have all been there once, in the bottom left hand corner of each post there is a butting that says "quote" that is all you need to quote, another way of letting someone know that you are talking to them is to tag them like so @Grimlockthedj you just put an @ and then write there name :) and for links you can just copy them in and they should work :)

To quote a post you click the button that says 'quote' right below the like button that is in the lower right hand corner of a post. To put in links, simply paste the link into the hext editor.

thanks. I had problems with quoting on mobile (how I started out) but im having trouble posting links on my desktop...
I control c to copy the url and when I try pasting with ctrl v it doesn't carry over for some reason...

 

 

It didn't quote..... *facepalm still stuck

it asks me for an anchor name and a by element id

and I cant post once I put in the link It wont let me click ok and cancel just brings up a message from the webpage that tells me

"some of the options have changed. are you sure that you want to close this dialog?"

then I click ok and nothing happens... I have to refresh the page to get back to the conversation.

When you quote someone click the quote button under there chat and type under there quote in the text box that they give you? Hope that helps?

No it wasnt I did a google search and found out that internet explorer has problems with ip board based forums and thats what i was using so im on google chrome now so i guess thats the answer to the problem... dont use ie.... only reason i do is because its just easier to bookmark things i would like to get back to in ie
