Ugly heatspreader on new CPU ?

Hey Guys,

 

i just took my new Intel i7-5920K out of the sealed box and somehow the heatsinks edge looks kinda rough? Is this normal ?

I would send that back to be honest looks dodgy to me.

Also, the 5920k does not exist. That is not a processor.

Hmm, so i need to admit, these Pictures make it look worse than it is. Actually its just the 2 edges (the vertical part, it isnt rounded in any way) not beeeing as polished as the rest of the Heatspreader.

Where did yo buy that?

Well if you bought it from a strange store or something then you should return it...

But if it works then there shouldnt be any issues with the heatpreader.

RMA wont be an issue if i wanted too, except that it will take quiet some time, i will test the CPU tomorrow.
