Formal day tomorrow, What should I wear?

So tomorrow my school is having this formal day for the remembrances assembly and I was wondering what you/I should wear? I was planning on wearing just this white dress shirt and a pair of jeans because that's really what I got. LOL I need more clothing...

I have to wear a white shirt with a tie, black paints, black dress shoes for the band veterans day concert.....

Formal, which can be known as 'black tie, is the whole nine yards - going full 3 piece dark or preferably black suit, tie and dress shoes. Some people don't know this and probably wear 'smart casual,' which is button up shirt, tie, dress pants and shoes (basically formal without the blazer/tuxedo) so you'd probably get away with going smart casual.

If you're a guy: A plain white shirt, slim black tie and black trousers always looks great if the clothes are fitted properly and the clothes are of good quality (not some cheapo thing from Primark etc.)  :)

 

If you're a girl: A pencil skirt and white blouse would look great. So would a women's suit if you've got one of them. Alternatively a simple fitted dress will look great too :)
