What Can I Do About This?

Go to solution Solved by Darkman,

you underestimate how little you matter to each employee.

Sure, they need to respect you, but come on.

I work in a small company that only has 14 (soon to be 15) people working there.

We have to deal with not one, not two, not even three valleys of people, but four!

We simply, however much we want to and do try, cannot make every single person happy.

All you have to do is scale that up for a bigger company.

And when you talk to a person that has never heard of you as a customer, and start off by yelling and screaming saying "THIS GUY DID THIS AND SAID THIS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH" that rep is going to shun you off and try to get rid of you ASAP.

If you go in, nicely explain the issue you are having and kindly note that you have been dealing with this for months, i 100% assure you, you will get what you were looking for.   I will never understand the idea people have that if you yell at someone that is trying to help you,  they will bend over and take you up the ass. They won't.

Back on topic; Your ping to google was fine, it must be the other end that you were pinging before.

I know, I know. But it isn't a red flag at all when everyone not related to the owner doesn't get anywhere near their rated speeds and everyone related to the owner, (I know his sons) gets higher than rated speeds..

I have family working for small companies, I realize they cannot suit every single persons needs. I just think it is quite irritating when calling for two months, and sending emails doesn't get their attention at all. You think they wouldn't do this. I can understand a few calls from 2-3, but everyone since we got it.

Anyway, after this week I will be switching to Frontiers unlimited DSL package with 6Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up.

Well, I was getting my rated speeds since I finally got a hold of my internet provider... Now I'm getting every packet lost and shit speeds with god awful ping..

I have been for two months... And then they finally answered and this happens.

Switch ISPs... If they don't take care of their customers, they deserve to lose them...

Go to their shop and show the speedtest results for maximum effectiveness... Make sure to speak in a loud voice about your experience to scare away any new subscribers inside the shop...

try clearing your dns and cache and try the speed test again.

Windows + R > CMD.EXE > ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew then ipconfig /flushdns close the window close browser and reopen it and run speed test post what you get

My connection has been doing the exact same thing. Before this started happening, I contacted them about business class price quotes and mentioned that ping was the only thing I was worried about. Ever since then, when I try to play games or download something my internet gets hit down to the exact same speeds as OP. I pay ~$50 USD for 1Mbps down and .3Mbps up

317 is watching. 317 is everywhere. 317 is life.

Try a differenct server. If that server is very far, you won't get good speeds, obviously.

Nowhere near my 3Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up and I'm the only one on.. I want to go to bed, but would like to resolve this when no one else is on.

3879373555.png

Btw, 100 mile servers are the closest.. I think I have one within 50, but doubt it will detect it since it usually gave me high pings and low download but high upload.
