Random video card poll (styling)

Okay, I loved my reference EVGA style gtx 680, and I honestly like the look better than my reference "titan" cooler.

I'm bored and wanted something to post, and I was watching old linus video's from 2012, the same ones I watched 2 years ago.

This is in off topic because it has no real value to the "video card section", if your wondering.

Titan cooler all the way! I prefer the metal design and build, it's more premium and looks awesome.

The radeon 200 series looks better than both of these, in my opinion.

they are nice, I really liked them when they were released just red doesn't go with everything - but neither does green.

I prefer the new STRIX cooler.

But out of these two i had to choose the 680. I really like the thin green accents

metal coolers look premium and should offer better cooling as all the metal can be a heatsink.

Well the external metal doesn't do much cooling, the heatsink isn't really attached to the metal frame.

it does a very minuscule amount :P but who cares it looks awesome

and i should add, the strength of the 980 reference makes me think i could kill someone with it and still have it function in a pc

I don't like neither of the colours we have available with reference coolers. I much prefer white or black, with no accent colours. But we will never get that.

For me it's the shrouds industrial design that makes me go for the strix.

But i've had DCU2 cooled cards and some of those coolers are nice. The 7850 looks pretty nice

ummm, yes the external metal do some radiating cooling from the VRM and VRAM

(hence the thermal pad use) as my 780 on classy BIOS gets seriously warm:

Well yes but then the 680 does the same thing, while yes it is separate, and with the titan cooler its all held within one unit, I wasn't considering the side facing the making contact with the PCB as "external" just a mid plate. My metal shroud when I had my reference cooler on a 780 ti never got very warm - but the plastic window did.
