Combining EK D5 pump with x3 res - Link?

So.. I've got a box of WC supplies that I'll be putting in my rig very very soon.

Though I just realised, I need something for me to attach the d5 pump to the actual res.
EK has got what they call a d5 pump/res link. But from the product name it seems like you can only use it in combination with a dual pump top.

I have a single pump top and want to know If I can use the same part, If there's something else I can use with the EK res that I've got, or if I need to look at a whole new resevoir from fx. bitfenix.

I've considered this problem too. I don't think it's possible to use this on the single pump top. 

 

It needs to be attached with four screws. The single top doesn't have screw holes, the dual top does.

Yeah, all of the other EK-RES X3 tubes will work with it.
