Should I REALLY go X99 or should I go for Z97?

Go for Xeon's if you really are rendering and stuffs

E3's or E5's?  The E5's suck at gaming.

The E3s are pretty good, if you want an i7 for a cheaper price get a 1230 v3, its basically an i7 without the integrated graphics

I'm getting the 1246 v3 which is the Haswell Refresh one (1's and 6's are refresh) Which has the same speeds as the i7. 3.5Ghz Base with a 3.9Ghz turbo.
