Posted October 19, 2014 I'm building my brother a computer and need some recommendations on an LGA1150 motherboard, the only thing he's picky about is USB ports, it needs lots of USB ports. I've been having trouble finding one with more than 4 USB ports, I'd like to see the board have four dimm slots, but that's not a must. Posted October 19, 2014 well for me the only thing I suggest is a z97 motherboard that looks super sexy in your eyes. nothing beats personal preference. ex. we can all say this one looks better but you and other people might not think so. Posted October 19, 2014 My favourite LGA 1150 board is the Asus Z97-AR, though that's purely aesthetics. For functionality there are 4 I like; the ASRock Z97 Extreme6/ac, the MSI Z97-Gaming 9 AC, the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK, and the MSI Z97 XPOWER AC All of them have SLI, Wi-Fi, minimum of 8 sata 3 ports (the ASRock and MSI XPower both have 10).
