Thanks! I've grown to love it myself as well :) Always was more into the laid back cruiser bikes, but since I did some test drives in search of a replacement for my Hyosung GV250, I've kinda put that idea to a rest.

This bike does have its disadvantages though, especially when using it as a day-to-day commuter bike. Windscreens are an amazing blessing, but you only realize that once you already bought a big naked :D

I turned 16 a few months ago and I'll be picking up a Peugeot XPS 50 or Yamaha DT50 once I can afford one.

When I'm 17 I'm planning on getting a Yamaha WR125x and passing my car test, purely to give me some flexibility.

How tall are you? If you're 6' or bigger when you're 17 the CBR won't look right since they aren't full size. I'd rather get something bigger like a CBF125 or even better, a supermoto ;)

Why such tiny bikes?

I've just recently sold my old ZXR250A, 1989 model 4cylinder screamer. Redline at 19,500 rpm and valve bounced at 21,500rpm.

Was an absolute blast to ride, so much fun for such a small bike and god it could tear through the twisties.

Currently just got an old postie, but due to taking it to the bush and thrashing it around up there it's in desperate need of a new bore+cylinder+clutch+rings... basically everything  , plan is to just get a cheap lifan 140 motor and chuck that in it so at least its got a proper gearbox and clutch so I can pull those hectic wheelies around town on it  :P

Scrapyard Build Total Cost: $268AUD

It has over 60,000kms on the motor currently, was bord to a 117 but was ran without oil for about 1,000 kms (previous owner) so I just top it up with "Coles motor oil" and an oil stabilizer because it burns oil more than a 2 stroke

It's cheaper to just get a better motor then to rebuild everything due to needing a new bore, piston+rings, valve settings, clutch, etc.

Anyone here got some tips for someone trying to get wheelies to be consistent? I usually get the frontend up a couple inches, but sometimes the bike gets a bit... twitchy and just skyrockets :P

Let's just say I've had to change diapers a couple times already.

Also, for those interested: nearly scraping that peg...

Still got to be a 350lc or a gsx750r slingshot for me but this is sure nice too, as for swapping unless you have a Superduke......lol

No problem, yep they are both Escort MK2s, the white one is a old school ford type of road car with a atmo YB Cosworth and the red one is a proper group4 car with a turbo YB.

That's one good looking (and sounding) bike. A tail tidy kit would make it look even sexier.

When I get round to doing my CBT and taking my A2 test, I plan on buying a Honda CBR500r or a Yamaha YZF-R3.

I'm pretty tall (6'5"), so I'm going to have to make sure they're not too small for me xD

I've been away from this thread for some time now because taptatalk wasn't working and I don't care to browse this forum on my computer. In the last week I sold my 13' FZ6R with 7K original miles for $4K.

Took delivery of my striple yesterday. Belly pan and fly screen are on their way here

I almost bought a RX but I was too late to order one unfortunately but the differences are cosmetic so I don't care too much especially getting the matching accessories for free through the promotion. Triples are amazing engines. I can't emphasize that enough.

Street. Speeds are too expensive and I wanted my next bike to be lighter than my FZ.

Yeah I love light bikes. Looks super slick. Plus its the R version, much bonus points for the better suspension.
