Go to solution Solved by Sharif,

Asus they got backplate and also i am going to get the strix

personally I would suggest to get something that will match your build   :)

As the title says which one is the best?

I can order the asus strix right now and i might have to wait some days for the msi.

Im not really into gpu overclocking so i dont really want to oc it.

So which one would be the better choice?

thanks

ASUS GTX 970 Strix vs. MSI GTX 970 Gaming

MSI is cooler on idle;

MSI is cooler under load;

ASUS is quieter on idle;

Same noise levels under load;

MSI is slightly faster from factory (frequency) and can overclock further - Please remember the silicon lottery so this is not a fact, just a sample.

If you care for backplates, the MSI version doesn't have one.

I would say the MSI card is slightly better, almost no difference at all. If you want something more powerful but still in the $400 range, I would tell you to take a look at the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming, the best GTX 970 IMO.
