You cant upgrade an old laptop CPU or GPU. Maybe the ram, but that's very unlikely if its older than 5 years.

I think your better off getting a laptop instead of upgrading it if your gonna game on it.

Your laptop has integrated graphics, the graphics are built into the cpu so you can't change it, you could change the cpu if isn't soldered on the motherboard.

if u upgrade the cpu its most likely that you will need a new motherboard to get a new ish cpu. but the ram is doable try

newegg.ca

ncix.ca

amazon.ca

for cpu's and gpus for laptops dont exist, unless the laptop is built to take a gpu so you could go external i guess. but really build a new computer for like 500 bucks

the gpu and cpu is soldered directly on the pcb. you won't be able to change anything here. unless you do some VERY VERY extremely good soldering. and even there...

You could if you upgrade your gpu on a laptop if it has a MXM slot.

I highly doubt OP's "old" laptop has any upgradeability options.

actually its the laptop is not old, its just the spec is too low-end for it.

The laptop is probably around 1year or 1 and a half year

Laptops always make me LOL. Other than console I cannot imagine a bigger waste of money, especially with smartphones existing.

I'll take a pen and paper over a $1100+ piece of generally non upgradable, 2 year lifespan, hardware. (in my experience the batteries last 2 years, and by that point you can't get a replacement battery, then again it's been a good.......8 years since I owned one)

My price range is around $250 - $300

Buy a new cheap laptop for that price. You've get 5 times the performance or maybe even more. It'll still be crap, but way better than that. And as others have said, it's a laptop; you can't really upgrade laptops except for RAM.

It doesn't matter when you bought it. What matters is when it was manufactured.

And if its specs are low end then it is VERY likely that it is not upgradeable. Usually only mid-high end gaming and productivity laptops have removable ram and graphics cards.

My model is the Samsung NP300E4V

The good news is that your ram isn't soldered on, so it is upgrade-able. I doubt it has 2 slots, so you will probably need to replace the current 2Gb stick with a 4Gb stick. I am trying to download the manual, so I can give you a definite answer.

Also its DDR3 for reference

How would I know if the laptop have a MXM slot?

I highly doubt that there is a MXM slot on your laptop because it's low end.

If the performance isn't good then it's time to get a new a laptop, you can't upgrade the cpu if it's soldered on the motherboard. The laptop is low end, i highly doubt there's any upgrade options on it.

Lol for the price, I'd still prefer a small desktop with a screen. I don't think anything of setting up a desktop. To me a laptop is just a lazy waste of money.

ITX Desktop setup

1. pick it up out of the car

2. Set it down wherever

3. get screen out of car (can be....anything really)

4. plug it all in in about....1 minute.

.......done? Seriously not getting the point of the laptop unless your in class and don't have the physical space for even an ITX build, which I would counter with "your ass should be doing school online, why are on site campus's not obsolete for the most part?"

Please note, I said "for the most part". Some classes I get require a physical presence (medical shit maybe, at least for surgery and learning out to stick needles and other various medical objects into people, in which case you don't need a laptop?)
